GPCF50 CBRN Filter

The Avon GPCF50 CBRN Filter is a high-performance general-purpose military filter. It provides protection against chemical, biological and radiological warfare agents in accordance with NATO requirements. This filter also protects against certain toxic industrial chemicals such as chlorine, hydrogen sulphide, sulphur dioxide and organic vapours with a boiling point of above 65ºC.

The Avon GPCF50 Filter is a CBRN filter canister designed to meet the relevant criteria specified in the NATO Triptych for protection against chemical and biological warfare agents in aerosol, liquid and vapour form.

When combined with an appropriate chemical face respirator, the GPCF50 filter canister protects the wearer's face, eyes, and gastrointestinal tract against chemical and biological agents in aerosol, liquid, and vapor form.

The canister also provides protection against a range of toxic industrial chemicals, and exceeds the capacity requirements of A1B1E1 in European standard EN14387:2004.

The canister will meet the efficiency and adsorption capacity for CW agents as specified by NATO in A/C 225 (panel VII) D/103 (para IV.6-11).

Features

The Avon GPCF50 Filter has a unique conformal shape providing a low profile close fit with the mask.

The external surface of the GPCF50 is easily decontaminated. The filter canister can be changed under all operational conditions in 9 seconds.

The GPCF50 is entirely non-ferrous and non-magnetic.

Each canister is packed to MIL-B131H Type 1 Class 1 in a foil bag.

Specifications

The predicted shelf life of the filter canister (sealed and packaged) is 5 years.

Compatibility

The Avon GPCF50 canister is for use only with approved Avon Protection masks C50, FM53 and FM54.

*The FM53 with GPCF50 filter is not a NIOSH certified configuration

Export control

The U.S. Government has certain controls over the GPCF50 CBRN Filter and prohibits the exporting, selling, transferring, transporting, or shipping of the product outside the U.S. without first obtaining approval from the U.S. government, or as authorized by U.S. law and regulations. This restriction applies whether the product is in its original form or has been incorporated into other items. This product is subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) with a classification of XIV(f)(4).
